Easter Bunny Express

Take a special 40-minute ride with an Easter theme! Our friendly rabbit will be at the Kempton station to pass out treats to all children before and after each trip. One of our vintage locomotives will be used to powering these trains. Reservations not required, normal departures at 1,2,3,& 4 PM each day. Tickets: Adults: $9.00, Children 3-11: $5.00

Wine and Cheese Rail Excursion -
July 6th, August 10th & September 14th
Enjoy a leisurely evening train ride with us and sample some of the fine wines and cheeses of the real Pennsylvania Dutch Country. This event will feature wines from Long Trout Winery and cheeses from the B.A.D. Farm. Each passenger will receive a complimentary wine glass as a memento of the trip. Space will limited to the first 40 passengers so make your reservations early. Train will depart from the Kempton station at 7pm. Adults only: $25 each

Kids' Fun Weekend - July
21st & 22nd:
Once each year, the WK&S hosts its "Kids' Fun Weekend" with "lots of extras" besides the regular train excursions. Included with the price of your train ticket, you can take a ride on a motorcar, enjoy the "Recycled Railroad" display, and have a delicious Ice Cream treat. The Schuylkill & Lehigh Model Railroad club will be open in the former Atlantic City Railway coach located behind the station. Reservations not required, normal departures at
12, 1,2,3,& 4 PM each day. Tickets: Adults: $9.00, Children 3-11: $5.00

Murder Mystery Train - August 24th
and 25th:
The Pines Dinner Theatre cast performs a mystery/comedy show on the special train ride.
Program starts at 6:30 pm and lasts approximately 90 minutes. Please check back for more details on this very popular event.
Cost for the play ticket and train ride is $15.00 per person, and advanced reservations are required. You may phone in a reservation at 610-756-6469 or contact the WK&S via e-mail, then purchase your tickets at the Kempton Station between 6:00PM and 6:30 PM. Dinner is not served for this performance although the WK&S snack bar will be open prior to the performance if patrons wish to purchase any snacks or drinks to eat before the train ride.

Harvest Moon Special -
September 28th and 29th:
Enjoy an autumn moonlight train ride with musical entertainment with complimentary cider, coffee or hot chocolate and cookies. One of our diesel locomotives will be used to power this train on this 45-minute ride, which includes a stop to gaze at the full moon. After returning to the station, please stay and enjoy the musical entertainment of the "Dixieland Five" while enjoying cider and coffee.
Adult Fares: $10 Children's Fare ( Ages 3-11): $5.00.
RESERVATIONS REQUIRED. One trip each night, departs promptly at 7:30 PM.

Halloween
Spooktacular
- October 12th and 13th :
Halloween fun for kids of all
ages, featuring Professor Whizzbang's Imagination Express, an interactive train
ride and show, along with hay maze, fortune telling by Gypsy Rose Lee, treasure
hunting with Captain Jack, and free treats for all the kids.

The Pumpkin Express - October
20th and 21st
Come take a ride on the train to the WK&S Great Pumpkin Patch. Each child will select their own pumpkin
from the pumpkin patch to take home and decorate. No Reservations are required.

Storytime with Mrs. Claus -
November 30th - Straight from the North Pole Mrs. Claus arrives to spend an evening on the train to read some of your favorite Christmas stories. The North Pole Bakery has also sent along some treats to share. Don't forget your camera to capture this special event. Limited seating. Adults $15, Children $10 (3-11), Infants/Toddlers $5 One night only. Train leaves at 6:30pm.

Santa Claus Special - December
1st & 2nd:
Join Santa, Mrs. Claus, Frosty the Snowman & the Elves as they bring in the season at the WK&S! Free gifts for the children as Santa walks through the train. Adults $12 ~ Children (ages 3-11)$7 ~ Children ages 2 and under $2. RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED. There are 5 trips each day and the departure times are:
Saturday, December
1st: 11 AM, 12 Noon, 1 PM, 2 PM, & 3 PM
Sunday, December
2nd: 11 AM, 12 Noon, 1 PM, 2 PM, & 3 PM
The Santa Specials are run on this one weekend only.
On the day of your trip, you may board the train starting anytime up to 15 minutes before your departure. The train, gift shop, and rest rooms are all heated in the event of cold weather. Be sure to bring your camera for family photos! In addition, the model train display, run by the Schuylkill & Lehigh Model Railroad Club, will be open in the yellow coach behind the Ticket Office. Please note that discount coupons, group rates, and car charters are not available during the Santa trips.
